Yes, I Shot Him! A Caregiver's Journey & Guide by Susan Elliott

You might be thinking, "Really, Susan!" Let me assure you that the Hubs knows about the title and the book. As always, he supports me in everything I do. I am one lucky woman for sure.

Nearly a year ago, our life changed drastically. January 1, 2016 my husband became disabled and I started my journey as a caregiver. Caregiving is a tough road, and a constant uphill battle, but it's a battle that I would fight everyday if it meant he was with me.

This book is for those who have to face caregiving, and those who are new to dealing with stroke patients. Believe me it's a different world. This book isn't for everyone, nor does it apply to everyone. It is my journey, the things I've learned. Still, I hope it helps someone who might be in the same situation I'm in.

Hugs to you all!

About Yes, I Shot Him! A Stroke Caregiver's Journey & Guide

Right off the bat, let me tell you that strokes suck. Of course, if you’re reading this you probably already know it. I won’t lie to you, and tell you that this book will fix everything you are going through. I won’t even tell you that I know everything, because I don’t. Every day is a journey for me, but I want to welcome you to my journey and hopefully help you learn somethings that you may not know or haven’t thought about. Unfortunately, the road you are on is hard. It is painful, and it is brutal. Not just on you, the caregiver, but on your patient as well.

Yes, I Shot Him! A Stroke Caregiver's Journey & Guide, isn't your mama's caregiving book. It's real, it's nitty gritty and it's wide-open. Follow Susan on a journey of caregiving, and learn the most important things of being a successful caregiver to a stroke victim. Caregiving isn't easy, and most of the time it isn't fun, but it is rewarding. And, when you think you've reached your limit, sometimes all you can do is laugh.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the club you never wanted to join. You can do this. Grab a cup of coffee, and let's take a journey together.
